Leaving A Legacy
Our Leaving a Legacy Charity Fund began in 2016 as a way to give back to the communities that have made us successful. Legacy agents participating in the Leaving A Legacy program make a donation for every home sale or purchase they complete. CENTURY 21 Legacy matches those donations (up to $10,000) each year.
Agents are able to choose which organizations they’d like to help with their donations. To date we have donated over $201,000 to charities all over East Tennessee.

It all began nearly 35 years ago by two sisters Ellen & Helen who saw a need in the community. They saw hungry children, their neighbors who due to difficult circumstances lacked healthy food, and the homebound elderly that lacked the ability to leave their homes. They filled the need by recruiting other friends and neighbors to help those less fortunate. When word of their good work began to spread others started to help by volunteering to clean, cook, and deliver meals while others generously contributed food and money to support their ministry. In fact Oprah Winfrey heard and invited the sisters to appear on her show. They initially were not interested , yet their grandson Patrick Riggins, current Executive Director persuaded them to fly to Chicago to be featured on TV (January 2011). They have passed to their heavenly reward, but their legacy continues through Patrick, Dita, Faith, Karen, Susan, Pastor and Virgie plus many others. Those mentioned above volunteers several days a week at least and without a paycheck. 9,000 Meals are served each month to the homebound. Lunch is served every Wednesday & Thursday plus fresh fruit, vegetables, meals, staples, bread are distributed each Wednesday at the weekly market.
Kelly Clancy & David Scarbrough delivered the check January 25, 2021.
